[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that from midnight to 6 p.m. on December 24, Christmas Eve, a total of 206 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were identified in Seoul over an 18-hour period.


Among the newly confirmed cases in Seoul, 3 were imported cases from overseas, and the remaining 203 were domestic infections. Regarding church-related cluster infections, 3 additional cases were confirmed at Seongseok Church in Gangseo-gu, and 1 additional case was confirmed at a church in Dongdaemun-gu.



One new case was confirmed at a nursing hospital and nursing home located in Guro-gu. One new case was also reported related to a gathering of acquaintances in Gangdong-gu. In other cluster infections, 2 new cases were confirmed.
