[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Eight employees at a mask manufacturing company in Daejeon have consecutively tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

According to Daejeon City on the 16th, starting with one employee (Daejeon case number 649) at a mask manufacturing company located in Yuseong-gu who tested positive on the 14th, seven colleagues (Daejeon case numbers 662, 667?672) were sequentially confirmed positive from the following day.

The first confirmed case, number 649, showed symptoms such as fever starting from the 11th, but the route of infection has not yet been identified.

Health authorities have completed testing on about 20 of the approximately 50 employees at the company and plan to test an additional 30 employees on the same day.
