[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A female administrative staff member at a high school in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, tested positive for COVID-19 on the 14th while under self-quarantine for 14 days.

According to the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, B staff member (Busan 539) of the administrative office at High School A was classified as a close contact after her husband (Busan 426), who visited the Green Core Bathhouse in Mandeok-dong, Buk-gu, tested positive on October 1. She underwent a COVID-19 test on September 30 but initially tested negative.

She was under self-quarantine for two weeks until October 15, and before the quarantine was lifted on the 14th, she was tested while asymptomatic and was notified of a positive COVID-19 result by the Buk-gu Public Health Center.

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education did not take any separate measures regarding the school as B staff member was confirmed positive during self-quarantine.
