The Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Metropolitan City Party Steering Committee is the daily party affairs management body of the city party. Former Blue House Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Kang Ki-jung, former Gwangju Mayor Park Kwang-tae, and former National Assembly member Cho Young-taek were appointed as standing advisors.
Former Gwangju City Party Senior Vice Chairman Park Sang-ho was appointed as Senior Vice Chairman, current Gwangju City Council member Jeong Moo-chang as Senior Spokesperson, and current Gwangsan-gu Eul Executive Committee member Kang Han-sol as Spokesperson.
