[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] BNK Busan Bank announced on the 14th that it donated 5 million KRW to the Busan Dental Association Sharing Volunteer Group to support dental treatment for socially marginalized groups in the region who are struggling due to COVID-19.
The donated funds will be used for dental treatment for socially marginalized groups in the region, such as elderly living alone, low-income families, single-parent families, multicultural families, and North Korean defectors' families, who are in blind spots of dental care due to difficult environments and economic circumstances.
The Busan Dental Association Sharing Volunteer Group, established in 2014, is a volunteer organization under the Busan Dental Association that provides dental treatment volunteer activities, donations, and scholarship projects targeting elderly living alone, low-income families, single-parent families, and others in the region.
A representative from Busan Bank said, “We hope that this sharing with the Busan Dental Association Sharing Volunteer Group will help dental treatment for socially marginalized groups in the region during the difficult times caused by COVID-19, even if only a little.”
Since February this year, Busan Bank has been conducting various social contribution projects to revitalize the local community affected by the spread of COVID-19, including ▲traditional market revitalization campaigns ▲support for local flower markets ▲provision of COVID-19 prevention supplies for socially vulnerable groups ▲Good Landlord Movement, and more.
