[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok (hereinafter Baemin), announced on the 19th that it will implement measures such as advertising fee refunds to help small business owners struggling with store operations due to heavy rain damage.
According to this support plan, Woowa Brothers will refund the full amount of the July or August advertising fee for Ultra Call, Baemin's monthly subscription advertising service, to business owners affected by the heavy rain in the form of Biz Points. Biz Points can be used like cash to purchase necessary items at 'Baemin Sanghoe,' a specialized food ingredient shopping mall for self-employed people, or to buy Baemin advertising products. The minimum support amount for this refund policy is 100,000 KRW, so businesses using one Ultra Call advertisement costing 80,000 KRW per month will also receive 100,000 KRW worth of Biz Points. Business owners with two or more advertisements will receive the full amount refunded as Biz Points.
In addition, Woowa Brothers plans to provide 100,000 KRW worth of Biz Points to flood-affected business owners who use Baemin Riders, Baemin's premium delivery service. Store owners wishing to receive Baemin advertising support must submit a flood damage confirmation certificate issued by the relevant city, county, or district office within 10 days of the damage occurrence on the Baemin Sajangnim Square website. Applications will be accepted starting from the 20th.
