[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] A pastor related to the Incheon Pioneer Church gathering has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Incheon City announced on the 3rd that Pastor A (60, female), who lives in Namdong-gu, tested positive for COVID-19.
It was confirmed that Pastor A had a meal on the 29th of last month at a restaurant in Michuhol-gu with Pastor B (70, female), who resides in Michuhol-gu and tested positive for COVID-19 on the 27th of last month.
Pastor B tested positive after attending a gathering held at a church in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province on the 27th.
Pastor A was confirmed positive after a specimen test at the Namdong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 2nd and was transferred to Incheon Medical Center.
It was confirmed that Pastor A attended a worship service at a church located in Ganseok 2-dong, Namdong-gu from 11:00 AM to 12:10 PM on the 31st of last month.
Additionally, on the 1st and 2nd of this month, she reportedly visited on foot the Saemaeul Geumgo, a mart, and a pharmacy located in Ganseok 2-dong.
The quarantine authorities stated that they are conducting specimen tests on three family members, including Pastor A’s husband, and are disinfecting the residential area.
