[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will hold a live-streamed Korean traditional music concert titled "Get Out, COVID-19" without an audience at 7:30 PM on the 30th at the Gangnam Healing Center located in COEX, Samseong-dong.
This concert is held as a talent donation by the Korean traditional music ensemble "Arayeon" to shift the socially depressed atmosphere caused by COVID blues and to deliver messages of hope and encouragement worldwide.
"Arayeon" is a performing group that has held various overseas invitation performances such as the G20 Summit and the Asian Heritage Festival. During this 60-minute performance with commentary, they will present a total of seven pieces including "The first day," "My days," and "Haneulseom" composed by Kim Ji-sun, as well as "Dream" composed by Choi So-hyung. The concert can be viewed on YouTube through the "Play Channel."
Additionally, the concert offers a preview of the Gangnam Healing Center, a complex cultural space in the city center for rest and leisure activities, which is scheduled to open next month.
Gong Seung-ho, Director of the New Design Division, said, "Following the spread of untact culture, this on(tact) communication using YouTube for the concert will support overcoming COVID-19 and aid the performing arts sector facing difficulties, creating a space where everyone can coexist."
