Donation Angel Yoo Jae-seok Donates 50 Million Won to Support Sanitary Pads for Low-Income Teenagers

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk donated 50 million won to support sanitary pads for low-income female adolescents.


Park Chung-kwan, CEO of G Foundation, stated on the 20th, "Female adolescents in welfare blind spots still greatly need support for sanitary pads," and added, "We are grateful to Mr. Yoo Jae-suk for his donation to help female adolescents grow up healthily."


According to G Foundation, the donation from Yoo Jae-suk will be used to produce sanitary pad kits and distribute them to low-income female adolescents. The sanitary pad kits are expected to include a six-month supply of sanitary pads, feminine cleansers, pouches, and handwritten letters with encouraging messages.


Since his debut, Yoo Jae-suk has consistently engaged in philanthropic activities. He has generously donated funds to neighbors in need, including low-income single mothers and vulnerable groups affected by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).


In February, Yoo Jae-suk donated 100 million won for COVID-19 damage recovery, and in April of last year, when wildfires occurred in Gangwon Province, he donated 50 million won to help the affected areas.


Additionally, in September of the same year, he contributed 50 million won to assist flood victims caused by Typhoon Mitag, and in August 2018, when sudden heavy rains caused continuous damage, he donated 50 million won as relief funds for the flood victims.



Meanwhile, G Foundation is an international development cooperation non-governmental organization (NGO) that carries out domestic child and adolescent support projects, support projects for elderly living alone, as well as education support and healthcare projects in developing countries overseas.
