"Always Thankful" Anonymous Resident Donates Masks to Hampyeong Fire Station, Inspiring Emotion View original image


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] An anonymous resident of Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, is warming the local community by donating dozens of masks to firefighters.


According to Hampyeong Fire Station (Chief Im Donghyun) on the 16th, firefighters found a shopping bag placed in front of the fire station on the afternoon of the 14th.


Inside the shopping bag were 50 masks along with a letter that read, "Thank you always for your hard work. Please wear masks and stay healthy when you respond to calls. From an ajumma in Eomda-myeon, Hampyeong-gun."


The entire staff of Hampyeong Fire Station currently uses cloth masks, and they decided to donate the masks received from the warm-hearted donor to socially vulnerable groups.



Chief Im Donghyun said, "We deeply thank the anonymous donor who gave warm comfort and affection to the exhausted firefighters responding to COVID-19," and added, "We will continue to strive to be a fire station that works harder for the safety of the residents."
