According to Yonhap News on October 10, the 2028 Chuseok holiday (October 2-4) will coincide with Saturday and Sunday at the beginning, and since the holiday also overlaps with National Foundation Day, there will be one substitute holiday. As a result, the holiday period will be six days from September 30 to October 5. If you take a day off on Friday, October 6, the weekend and Hangeul Day will follow, extending the holiday to a maximum of 10 days.

Next, in 2031, the Chuseok holiday (September 30-October 2) and National Foundation Day (October 3) will connect with the weekend, giving a basic holiday of six days. If you take a day off on Monday, September 29, the day before the Chuseok holiday, you can rest for up to nine days. In 2036, the Chuseok holiday (October 3-5) falls on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but with two substitute holidays for National Foundation Day, the holiday will last five days from October 3 to 7. If you take a day off on Wednesday, October 8, the holiday will extend to Hangeul Day, allowing for up to seven consecutive days off.

According to the "Regulations on Public Holidays for Government Offices," if the Chuseok holiday overlaps with a Sunday or another public holiday during the week, substitute holidays are provided. When these reasons overlap, the number of substitute holidays increases accordingly. In 2036, the Chuseok holiday overlaps not only with National Foundation Day, which falls on a Friday, but also with Sunday, resulting in two substitute holidays.

In 2039, the Chuseok holiday (October 1-3) will also overlap with Sunday and National Foundation Day, resulting in two substitute holidays and extending the holiday to five days. However, there will be no extended break connecting to Hangeul Day.

The next year with a maximum 10-day holiday, like this year's, will be 2044. That year, the beginning of the Chuseok holiday (October 4-6) will connect with the weekend and National Foundation Day, making the holiday six days long. In addition, since Hangeul Day falls on a Sunday, the following day will be a substitute holiday. If you take a day off on Friday, October 7, between the Chuseok holiday and the weekend, you can take 10 consecutive days off from October 1 to October 10.

According to a survey conducted by HR tech company Incruit of 701 members on the "Appropriate and Maximum Age for New College Graduates in 2025," the average age of newly hired employees was found to be 31.9 years for men and 29.5 years for women.
