Kim Jintae, the People Power Party candidate for Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, held a press conference at the Gangwon Provincial Party Office on the 6th, launching a fierce offensive against Woo Sangho, the Democratic Party candidate, for not making his position clear on the "Special Prosecutor Act on the President's Withdrawal of Prosecution."

He further questioned, "How can we elect a candidate who has no stance on such important matters?"
Kim went on to say, "This is not the first time he has avoided answering; there have been about ten such instances," and sharply pointed out, "I wondered if remaining silent was his concept, but when it comes to the pledges I announced, he has plenty to say."
Kim continued, "(Candidate Woo) never talks about himself and always sticks to criticizing, denying, and nitpicking others," adding, "His old habits from Yeouido politics are showing through." He criticized this approach.
Kim also mentioned that the first televised debate for the Gangwon governor candidates has been scheduled for the 11th, vowing, "I will thoroughly scrutinize the candidates on behalf of the residents."
Earlier, in a radio interview this morning, Woo stated regarding the Special Prosecutor Act on the President's Withdrawal of Prosecution, which the Democratic Party is pushing for, "It is more desirable to discuss the contents, procedures, and timing after the local elections."
