On the 5th, President Lee, along with First Lady Kim Hye-kyung, hosted a commemorative event at the Blue House to mark the 104th Children's Day, inviting around 200 guests, including families and children. The event welcomed children from various backgrounds, such as those from depopulated areas, children living in care facilities, children from single-parent and multicultural families, children with disabilities or rare diseases, and children residing near the Blue House. Some of the children whom the president and first lady met last year during a meeting with patients and families affected by rare diseases also attended.

That day, as President Lee and the first lady moved from the Sejong Room in the main building to the Greenery, an elementary school student who was walking with the group suddenly launched into a 'side roll.' The moment was perfectly captured on camera.

First Lady Kim, who was beside the child, was initially startled but soon broke into a smile, while President Lee also smiled warmly.

The footage was released to the public through social networking services (SNS) and Instagram Reels. As the video quickly spread online, netizens reacted by saying, "That's not an ordinary kid," "I never expected someone to have the guts to do a side roll in the Blue House corridor," and "A moment that will go down in history."

Meanwhile, at the event, the president and first lady participated in activities such as keycap making and face painting with the children. They also watched a performance by the Army Taekwondo Demonstration Team.

After the event, President Lee posted a message on Facebook titled "Celebrating the 104th Children's Day." He stated, "We will not regard children merely as objects of protection or as cute beings, but will respect them as individuals with dignity and character," adding, "I will continuously strive to become an adult who upholds the dignity of children."
