Paint Donation to Create a Pleasant Indoor Environment

SP Samhwa announced on May 6 that it had donated paint and subsidiary materials to improve the environment of the correctional facility under the Ministry of Justice located in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do.

The donation ceremony held that day was attended by Bumsoo Park, CPO of SP Samhwa; Jinwoo Kim, Chief Prosecutor of Gongju Branch, Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office; Byunggak Oh, Director of Gongju Correctional Institution; and Seokwoo Kang, Chairman of the Ministry of Justice Youth Crime Prevention Committee, among other key officials.

SP Samhwa operates the 'SP Samhwa Gongju Plant' in Gongju and decided on this sponsorship to provide practical support as a member of the local community, going beyond simple financial assistance. The aim is to improve the internal and external environment of aging national correctional facilities to enhance both the working conditions for correctional officers and the overall quality of life within the facility.

SP Samhwa believes that sustainable corporate growth can only be achieved by fulfilling social responsibilities, and is accelerating its ESG management with 'co-growth with the local community' as a core value. Recently, SP Samhwa has been expanding its nationwide social contribution campaign 'Creating a Safe Korea Together,' in collaboration with Gangwon-do and Chungcheongnam-do, to prepare for and respond to the three major national disasters: wildfires, heat waves, and heavy rains.

An SP Samhwa official stated, "We hope that this paint donation will not only bring about tangible improvements to the Gongju correctional facility's environment but also significantly contribute to the welfare of the local community," adding, "We plan to continue expanding our sincere social contribution activities based on our advanced paint and color solutions."
