On May 5, a sales post titled "The Best Blind Date Look SK hynix Jumper" appeared on online second-hand trading platforms such as Danggeun. The seller described the jumper as "brand new" and stated that they had multiple sizes available. The asking price was 40,000 won. The listing attracted over 2,500 views, becoming a hot topic online.

The attention on SK hynix uniforms stems from the recent spread of the "Hynix meme." On online communities and social networking services (SNS), posts are frequently referring to jumpers or vests with the SK hynix logo as "the very best blind date look" or "the ultimate blind date success fashion." The variety show "SNL Korea" on Coupang Play also satirized this trend. In the show, a luxury clothing store employee initially ignores a shabbily dressed customer, but after noticing the "SK hynix" logo on the customer's vest, immediately changes their attitude. The phrase "Hynix God," which appeared in that scene, has also gone viral online, fueling the spread of the meme.

Parody images created using artificial intelligence (AI) are also emerging. One image titled "The SK hynix Morning Commute" shows a line of supercars heading in the same direction on a road, while another image of a man wearing an SK hynix logo jumper at a cafe drew comments such as "This is a 100% successful blind date fashion these days."

This phenomenon can be interpreted as a result of SK hynix's strong performance and heightened expectations for employee compensation. In the first quarter of this year, SK hynix recorded an operating profit of 37.6103 trillion won, a 405% increase year-on-year, and sales surged by 198% to 52.5763 trillion won. Some analysts suggested that if annual operating profit reaches 250 trillion won, the funds for profit-sharing (PS) could reach about 25 trillion won, making it possible for each employee to receive a performance bonus worth several hundred million won on average. Furthermore, there are even projections that, in this unprecedented semiconductor market boom, SK hynix employees could receive performance bonuses totaling several billion won over the next few years.

However, these are simple estimates based on operating profit and the number of employees. The actual amount distributed may vary depending on the company's compensation policies, job category, position, and years of service. Nevertheless, as the image of "definite rewards where there are results" spreads, SK hynix is emerging as a highly coveted workplace among job seekers.

Unusual phenomena are also appearing in the recruitment market. Recently, during SK hynix’s production worker recruitment process, posts have appeared in online communities from applicants considering lowering their educational credentials to meet the eligibility requirements, a phenomenon dubbed "reverse education." On certain job-related forums, there have even been questions about whether it is possible to apply with a two-year college diploma instead of disclosing a four-year degree.

In the securities industry, there are expectations that SK hynix could record significant operating profits driven by a recovery in the semiconductor market and expanded demand for artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductors.
