Samsung Display is expanding its recruitment programs in the United States to secure global talent that will drive a technological edge in future industries. The company is broadening its hiring hubs from the traditional West Coast to major regions across the continent, with key executives set to meet students in person and present the company’s vision.
On May 5 (local time), Samsung Display announced that it held a recruitment program titled 'Tech Forum' at the InterContinental Downtown Hotel in Los Angeles (LA), USA, inviting more than 50 outstanding PhD candidates to share the company’s vision and promote its organizational culture. This event was held in conjunction with 'Display Week,' the world’s largest display-focused event organized by the Society for Information Display (SID), which has been taking place in LA since May 3. Samsung Display specifically invited top-tier PhD talent from universities in the LA area to participate.

Subsequently, Hojoong Lee, Vice President and Head of Product Planning for the Small and Medium Business Division, led a tech session to introduce Samsung Display’s major technological innovation achievements and shared future technology and product strategies tailored to the AI era.
This Tech Forum diverged from the traditional seminar format and instead adopted a networking approach, with executives and engineers dining and communicating freely with students. Students were able not only to learn more about the company’s organizational culture, but also to receive detailed, personalized consultations on how their specific fields of study could synergize with particular departments and roles at Samsung Display.
Following this Tech Forum, Samsung Display will hold a series of "On-the-Road Recruitment Meetings" across key cities in the United States, starting in San Jose, San Francisco on May 7, and continuing through June in the Midwest (Chicago), East (Boston), and South (Atlanta). This expansion marks the company’s move to establish recruitment hubs not only on the West Coast, but across the entire continent. For each region, Samsung Display plans to invite dozens of PhD-level candidates.
Samsung Display is expanding its recruitment programs in the United States to proactively secure outstanding young engineering talent currently engaged in overseas research, aiming to further solidify its technological lead over competitors.
"In the rapidly changing display market aligned with the AI era, the ultimate key to innovation is people," said Vice President Joo-Hyung Lee. "We hope that talented individuals active on the global stage will join Samsung Display in leading a new future."
Meanwhile, Samsung Display continues to engage in extensive global recruitment activities, including hosting a Tech Forum led by major executives every October in Japan.
