He said, “For the health of citizens, I will review ways to cooperate with local medical institutions within the scope permitted by laws and ordinances.”
The Yongin Medical Association proposed the following on the same day: expanding support for flu vaccinations to all citizens; increasing the participation of local medical institutions in the provision of chronic disease prescription subsidies, which are currently centered on public health centers; and developing an AI platform to prevent “ping-ponging” at emergency rooms.
The medical association explained that support for prescription costs for chronic disease patients is currently focused only on citizens who are able to visit public health centers, meaning that patients with severe conditions or elderly people who have difficulty moving could be left out.
In response, candidate Lee said, “I will review the possibility of supporting prescription costs for chronic diseases,” and added, “I believe it is desirable to expand flu vaccinations to all citizens, and I will review this matter carefully.”

Since the development of an AI platform to prevent emergency room ping-ponging is closely related to improving the emergency medical system, I will review this as a priority, and as for AI-based support for basic image reading, I will look into the legal grounds and review the matter.”
