Shinhan Bank announced on April 30 that it has signed a "Strategic Partnership for Supporting the Growth of Innovative Technology Startups" business agreement with Korea University Technology Holdings Co., Ltd.

원본보기 아이콘The signing ceremony, held the previous day at the main building of Korea University in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, was attended by Lee Jonggu, Head of Sales Promotion Group 1 at Shinhan Bank, Yoon Sungtaek, Vice President for Research at Korea University, and Woo Sanghyun, CEO of Korea University Technology Holdings.
This agreement aims to systematically support the commercialization of outstanding university technologies and foster the growth of innovative technology startups by connecting Shinhan Bank's productive finance expansion strategy with the technology commercialization capabilities of Korea University Technology Holdings.
Under the agreement, Shinhan Bank will provide innovative technology startups supported by Korea University Technology Holdings with opportunities to participate in the Shinhan Futures Lab and Shinhan Square Bridge accelerating programs. In addition, the bank plans to offer investment review and collaboration through Shinhan Venture Investment, customized consulting for business management issues, and open innovation partnerships.
A Shinhan Bank representative stated, "Through this agreement, we expect the combination of the university's outstanding technologies and Shinhan Bank's financial and non-financial capabilities to substantially contribute to the growth of innovative startups. We will continue to expand productive finance so that innovative companies with technological capabilities can achieve stable growth in the future."
