Hybro (CEO Won Seyoun) announced that it has officially launched pre-registration for its new mobile game, Dragon Village 3. This marks the first time in 12 years that the Dragon Village IP has been released as an official numbered title. The release is already generating high expectations among longtime fans of the original as well as new users who enjoy collection-based RPGs.
Dragon Village 3 faithfully inherits the core fun of dragon collecting and nurturing from the original. The game features a modern reinterpretation of the series' signature 7.0 grade system, as well as the orb and gem growth systems, and random combat mechanics that include double and triple attacks. In addition, simulation elements such as village management have been added to deliver a differentiated gameplay experience compared to typical combat-focused mobile games.
The game also offers well-structured content. It includes the stage-based dungeon exploration mode 'Underground Fortress,' the server-wide 'World Boss' raid where all users can participate, the real-time PvP 'Arena Ranked Match' operated on a seasonal basis, and 'Guild Battle' for guild members. With a balanced mix of story, cooperative, and competitive content, the game is designed to be enjoyable for everyone from casual to hardcore users.
Hybro stated, "To reward fans for their 12-year wait, we will do our best to make Dragon Village a new milestone for the series by continuing updates and expanding the existing universe even after the release."
All users who participate in the pre-registration will receive rewards worth a total of 110,000 won, including in-game currency and rare dragons, at the time of the official launch.
As this long-standing IP returns as an authentic sequel combined with the latest trends, attention is focused on whether it can once again ignite a dragon craze in the domestic mobile collection RPG market, which has been in a slump, by leveraging its strong and loyal fan base.
