As the organizer of the event, DB Insurance held a charity event during the Promy Open, the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Tour season opener, which took place at the Old Course of La Vie Belle Golf & Resort in Chuncheon from April 16 to 19. For every birdie made by a participating player, 50,000 won was accumulated as a donation. A total of 1,567 birdies were recorded during the tournament, resulting in a fund of 78.35 million won, which was fully provided by DB Insurance.

The donation raised from the tournament will be used to support scholarship programs for the children of firefighters who have died in the line of duty. The funds were delivered to the Fire Family Hope Sharing organization.

The "Love Birdie" initiative is a social contribution program in which athletes participating in the golf tournament join in charitable giving. It began in 2012 with a 57 million won donation for victims of the Namyang-dong gas fire explosion in Samcheok. In 2019, 73.6 million won was donated for forest fire recovery efforts in Donghae, and in 2022, a combined donation of 128.7 million won from the 2021 and 2022 fundraising efforts was delivered to the Salvation Army. Since 2024, donations have been delivered to Fire Family Hope Sharing, and over the past 15 years, a total of 945.4 million won has been returned to society.

Jongpyo Jung, CEO of DB Insurance, stated, "DB Insurance has been supporting the 'KBS119 Award,' established to honor the dedication of firefighters and to promote safety awareness in society, for 24 consecutive years since 2003. We hope that this donation will be of help to all firefighters and their families who risk their lives for the safety and well-being of the public at fire and disaster sites."
