The Korea Local Information Research & Development Institute announced on April 30 that it will jointly host the "2026 2nd KLID-FNF Online Regular Seminar" with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation on May 7, under the theme "Local AX Realized by AI."

This seminar has been organized to share global cities' AX implementation strategies and directions for public sector utilization, against the backdrop of accelerating digital transformation in cities and public administration driven by the spread of AI technology. In particular, the focus will be on presenting practical application methods centering on regional-level AI adoption cases and implementation strategies.

The first presentation will be delivered by Lee Sungho, Research Fellow at the AI Big Data Lab of the Seoul Institute, who will introduce AI utilization cases and competitiveness enhancement strategies from major overseas cities, under the topic "Current Status and Strategies of AI Transition in Global Cities."

This will be followed by a presentation from Professor Hwang Seongsu of the Department of Public Administration at Yeungnam University, who will discuss "Classification of Public Sector AI Utilization Cases and Implementation Strategies," organizing AI application cases in public administration by type and presenting step-by-step implementation directions.

After the presentations, there will be a real-time Q&A and discussion session between experts and online participants. The seminar will be broadcast live via the official YouTube channel of the Institute, and those wishing to participate can register in advance until noon on May 6.

Kim Seokjin, Vice President of the Institute, stated, "AI-based transformation has become a key factor in determining the competitiveness of local administration," adding, "We hope this seminar will provide a variety of cases and directions that each region can refer to."
