The agreement aims to expand the foundation for public participation in climate action through public-private cooperation, as well as to spread practical methods and best practices for daily life to help establish a culture of carbon neutrality. With this agreement, Carrot plans to analyze the carbon reduction effect of each category of secondhand transactions and establish a foundation to more concretely communicate the environmental value of resource circulation of goods.

The agreement includes the following key initiatives: ▲ implementation of a national carbon neutrality campaign and provision of climate action information using the Carrot app and the Carbon Neutrality Action Portal ▲ social contribution activities to strengthen the climate crisis response capacity of vulnerable groups and local communities ▲ development of collaborative projects and joint research, including quantifying the environmental value of carbon-neutral actions.

Previously, from April 20 to 26, Carrot, together with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Environmental Conservation Institute, conducted the "Neighborhood Walk for the Earth" campaign, which drew a total of 474,844 participants. Based on this campaign, the three organizations plan to deliver support items to climate-vulnerable groups.

CEO Hwang Doyeon said, "I hope that Carrot's lifestyle-focused service will, through cooperation with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Environmental Conservation Institute, become a key touchpoint for expanding climate action participation in daily life."
