The ministry announced that it will host the 'K-Tourism Roadshow' in Fukuoka on April 30, coinciding with Japan's Golden Week. This event follows local promotional activities in Osaka (May 9) and Tokyo (May 10-12).

The event will be held under the theme "Shall We Go Today? Korea!" and aims to highlight Korea as a travel destination that Japanese tourists can visit with ease. The program will feature a performance by singer and actor Hwang Minhyun, as well as a Korea tourism talk show.

In addition, a variety of promotional booths will operate under the theme "Experience Korea in Advance from Fukuoka." Local governments such as Busan and Jeju, airlines including Air Busan and Jin Air, and companies in the food and cosmetics sectors will be present to introduce Korean travel content.

The ministry expects demand for travel to Korea from Japanese tourists to increase during Golden Week and is strengthening local marketing efforts. Kim Daehyeon, the Second Vice Minister of the ministry, will visit the event, discuss cooperation plans with key Japanese travel agency representatives, and promote Korea’s tourism policy through interviews with local media.

Vice Minister Kim stated, "Japan is one of the core markets for Korean tourism," adding, "I hope this Golden Week will serve as an opportunity for even more Japanese tourists to visit Korea." He also noted, "We will make preparations so that repeat visitors can experience a variety of regional tourism products."
