University students from the ESG Academy, LG Electronics' external university program, also participated. The volunteers and children and adolescents with disabilities enjoyed a variety of activities, including a balloon snack-eating contest, fish catching, treasure hunting, basketball, and an air bounce playground.
Donations voluntarily collected by LG Electronics employees through a donation menu were used for the event. The donation menu, offered at employee cafeterias in domestic business sites every two months, features a simplified meal with fewer side dishes, and 500 won per selection is accumulated as a donation.
Since 2014, LG Electronics has maintained a 13-year partnership with the Amsa Rehabilitation Center, operated by the Korea Social Welfare Society. The company continues to provide support in various ways, including volunteer activities that foster solidarity between employees and the community, donations of home appliances and educational support, and sponsorship funds.
Meanwhile, throughout May, LG Electronics will also host special events where members can create memorable experiences with their families. More than 13,000 employees and family members working at domestic business sites will participate. On May 2, the company will rent out Changwon Robot Land in Gyeongnam and invite about 7,000 employees working at LG Smart Park and their families. On May 9, a family invitation event will be held at the LG Twin Towers headquarters in Yeouido, where approximately 400 family members of employees will be introduced to the workspaces and take part in activities such as watching a magic show, taking family snapshots at a photo booth, assembling family photo puzzles, and decorating a family wish board.
At Pyeongtaek LG Digital Park, a family event will be held where families are invited to watch an LG Twins baseball game broadcast together. At Magok LG Science Park, a large-scale family invitation event is scheduled for May 16. In addition to company tours of the showroom and offices and hands-on experiences with innovative products, a variety of programs for children will be offered, such as making slime, spinning traditional tops, decorating ballpoint pens, playing a soccer shooting game, and a balloon magic show. For parents, hand massage services and special lectures on child-rearing in cooperation with a psychological counseling center will also be provided. Other business sites, including Seocho R&D Campus and LG Seoul Station Building, will also hold family invitation events and workspace tours, along with various other activities.
