Tang Wei Announces Second Pregnancy: "Unexpected but Happy"

Actress Tang Wei has announced her second pregnancy through social media (SNS).

On April 29, she posted on Instagram, "Our family is about to welcome another pony," adding, "It was unexpected, but we are all happy and looking forward to it." She also uploaded a photo of three people at a playground holding a toy horse. This seems to be a reference to the fact that the baby is expected to be born in the Year of the Horse.

At 47 years old this year, Tang Wei had recently faced ongoing pregnancy rumors in China. On April 26, she was seen wearing a black coat that revealed her abdominal line at a brand event in Shanghai, fueling speculation. Last month in Beijing, she was also spotted shopping when a fellow actor was seen protecting her from a crowd.

Tang Wei and director Kim Tae-yong first met as actress and director during the 2009 film "Late Autumn." The couple married in July 2014 and welcomed their first daughter, Summer, in 2016, two years after their marriage.

Tang Wei plans to continue her acting career. Following her role in the film "Decision to Leave" (2022), she will appear in the Hollywood western "The Brigands of Rattlecreek," directed by Park Chan-wook.
