Kim Jaeseop Appointed Co-Chairman of Oh Sehoon's Campaign; Kim Moo-sung Named Senior Advisor

Assemblyman Kim Jae-seop has been newly appointed as co-chairman of the election campaign committee for Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party candidate for Seoul mayor. The senior advisory group includes veteran politicians such as former party leader Kim Moo-sung, as well as lawmakers Na Kyung-won and Kwon Young-se, among others. Figures close to the party leadership, including Supreme Council member Shin Dong-wook, have also been included in the campaign committee, emphasizing a focus on "unity."


According to Oh's campaign on the 29th, Assemblyman Kim Jae-seop was newly appointed as a co-chairman of the campaign committee, joining Assemblywoman Park Su-min, a former primary contender, and former lawmaker Yoon Hee-sook. Assemblyman Kim Jae-seop has recently been leading various attacks against Jung Won-oh, the Seoul mayoral candidate from the Democratic Party of Korea.

The senior advisory group includes prominent figures such as former party leader Kim Moo-sung, lawmakers Kwon Young-se and Na Kyung-won, and former lawmakers Choi Jae-hyung, Kim Sung-tae, and Kim Young-joo. Oh's campaign stated, "The senior advisory group will provide political direction for the campaign and act as a bridge to unify the party's capabilities."


Assemblywoman Cho Eun-hee (Seoul Seocho-gu Gap) has been appointed as chief executive director, overseeing the campaign's operations, while former lawmaker Oh Shin-hwan has taken on the role of head of the general situation room, responsible for devising election strategies and on-site responses. Special committees directly attached to the candidate will be led by experts from each field and current or former members of the National Assembly representing Seoul.


Notably, this round of appointments also includes lawmakers affiliated with the party leadership and pro-Han faction. Supreme Council member Shin Dong-wook, who is considered part of the party leadership, will lead the Special Committee for Enhancing Seoul's Future Competitiveness. Assemblyman Ko Dong-jin, identified as part of the pro-Han faction, will head the Special Committee for Expanding Jobs in Seoul. Additionally, Assemblyman Cho Jung-hoon (Seoul Mapo-gu Gap) will oversee the Special Committee for Global City Seoul, Assemblyman Park Jung-hoon (Seoul Songpa-gu Gap) will lead the Special Committee for Cultural City Seoul, and Assemblywoman Seo Myung-ok (Seoul Gangnam-gu Gap) will manage the Special Committee for Safe Childcare in Seoul. Proportional representatives Kim So-hee, Choi Soo-jin, and Lee So-hee have been appointed as chairs of the Special Committee for a Seoul without Loneliness, the Special Committee for Garden City Seoul, and the Special Committee for Walking Together with the Disadvantaged, respectively.


In addition, the campaign's division heads and their respective roles include Kim Geun-sik (strategy and planning), Lee Jae-young (public relations), Kim Sun-dong (organization 1), Song Ju-beom (organization 2), Hyun Kyung-byung (professional groups), Lee Yong-ho (policy), Kim Kyung-jin (AI), Kim Il-ho (campaign rallies), Oh Kyung-hoon (senior vitality), Yang Gi-yeol (university students), Ham Un-kyung (labor), and Jang Sung-ho (comprehensive support). The spokesperson team will be led by former Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs Kim Byung-min, joined by Lee Chang-geun, Park Yong-chan, Ho Joon-seok, Lee Jong-chul, and Shin Ju-ho as spokespeople.


A campaign official stated, "This round of appointments forms a unified team that encompasses both party elders and new-generation leaders," adding, "We will focus on policy competition that enhances citizens' quality of life by combining proven political skills and on-the-ground expertise."
