Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province has been officially selected as the host city for the 2026 Gyeongsangnam-do Craft Fair. The fair will be held over seven days from October 30 to November 5 at the Railway Culture Park and surrounding areas.
Celebrating its 23rd edition this year, the Gyeongsangnam-do Craft Fair is a flagship annual event aimed at developing new markets for outstanding local crafts and revitalizing craft culture within the province.
This year’s fair is hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do and organized by the Gyeongsangnam-do Craft Cooperative. Throughout the event, craft businesses from within the province will participate in exhibitions, promotional activities, and sales, while a variety of hands-on craft programs will be available for citizens to experience directly.
There will be approximately 60 exhibition and sales booths and around 20 hands-on experience booths. Any craft product manufacturer based in the province is eligible to participate free of charge.
In particular, this fair will be held in conjunction with the Jinju exhibition of the “2026 Traveling Masterpiece Craft Exhibition,” an initiative led by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft and Design Foundation.
The traveling exhibition will run from October 1 to November 8 and, together with the fair, is planned to expand into a large-scale craft culture event utilizing the entire Railway Culture Park.
A Jinju City official stated, “As a UNESCO Creative City, Jinju is where traditional and modern crafts coexist. Through this fair, we aim to broaden market opportunities for local artisans and further expand cultural enjoyment opportunities for our citizens.”
