According to reports from Reuters, The New York Times, and other foreign media outlets on the 28th (local time), Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers requested both parties to refrain from making statements related to the trial on SNS during the first hearing of the OpenAI lawsuit held at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, Oakland Division. The request came after OpenAI’s legal representative raised concerns about Musk's mocking post on X (formerly Twitter) from the previous day.

Judge Rogers reportedly told Musk, "Try to refrain from using SNS to resolve matters outside the courtroom." In response, Musk agreed to minimize his SNS activity during the trial, and Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, also stated that he would comply.

The previous day, while jury selection was underway, Musk posted a mocking message on his X account targeting Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, and President Greg Brockman. He called Altman "Scam Altman" and Brockman "Greg Stockman," using wordplay to ridicule their names, which sparked controversy.

OpenAI argued that the post could influence the jury, raising concerns. In response, the court emphasized that public remarks could affect the trial proceedings and stated that both parties should respond with caution.

Meanwhile, Musk has filed a lawsuit against Altman, Brockman, Microsoft, and others, claiming that OpenAI has deviated from its original nonprofit and public interest mission and that he has suffered damages as a result.
