LX Hausys Wins Red Dot Design Award for Artificial Marble 'Hi-Macs Terrazzo'

On April 29, LX Hausys announced that it had received the main prize in the Product Design category at the Red Dot Design Award 2026 for its acrylic artificial marble 'Hi-Macs Terrazzo,' recognized for its innovative design and eco-friendliness.

Hi-Macs Terrazzo is a design that has received positive reviews for its vivid patterns, offering a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Italian 'terrazzo' technique, which expresses a rich granular texture by mixing marble or gravel chips into cement.

By crushing and reprocessing leftover materials generated during the production and processing of artificial marble, the product uses these as raw materials again, resulting in a recycled material content of up to 25%.

Hi-Macs Terrazzo has also acquired the 'SCS Recycled Content Certification' from SCS Global Services, a U.S. international sustainability certification organization, verifying its environmental and social sustainability.

So far, LX Hausys has won a total of 62 awards at the world's three major design awards, including 15 at the Red Dot Design Award, 38 at the iF Design Award, and 9 at the IDEA Design Award.

An LX Hausys official stated, "This award is a result of the global market recognizing LX Hausys' unique design philosophy, which considers not only aesthetics and functionality but also natural circulation. Moving forward, we will continue to introduce interior products that feature not only original designs reflecting customer lifestyles but also ensure sustainability."
