The analysis revealed that outing-related civil complaints were concentrated between April and June. During this period, there were 2,226 complaints, accounting for 39.6% of all outing-related complaints.
The main types of complaints included: ▲ requests for facility safety management and maintenance ▲ inconveniences caused by crowding of visitors and vehicles ▲ demands for more restrooms and other amenities. For example, in March, a complaint was filed requesting maintenance for areas with bumps or curbs where pedestrians could trip in a region that drew many visitors for a cherry blossom festival.
The commission shared recommendations for improvements that relevant organizations can refer to when preparing countermeasures.
Meanwhile, according to the commission, the number of complaints filed in March reached 1,317,873, a 21.2% increase from the previous month. The region with the largest month-on-month increase was South Chungcheong Province, which saw a 40.1% rise. In particular, complaints about road damage, such as pothole repairs and other road maintenance issues, were the most common.
