Lotte GRS Expands "Marugame Udon" with Second Branch in Busan

Opened at Aqua Mall, Lotte Department Store Gwangbok

About 250,000 Visitors in Seven Months Since the Opening of the First Jamsil Branch

Lotte GRS announced on April 29 that it has opened the second branch of "Marugame Udon," a Japanese authentic Sanuki udon specialty brand, at the Aqua Mall in Lotte Department Store Gwangbok branch in Busan.

Marugame Udon is a global franchise brand specializing in Sanuki udon and tempura, operating more than 1,100 stores worldwide. After opening its first location at Lotte World Mall in Jamsil in September last year, the company has now launched its second branch. The second store has an area of approximately 204 square meters (about 62 pyeong) and 66 seats, and, like the first store, features an open kitchen concept within the premises.

A company representative stated, "The first branch attracted about 250,000 visitors over seven months after opening and achieved 230% of the target sales volume in the first two weeks. So far, sales have surpassed our targets, and visits continue to be steady."

The Gwangbok area, the core business district of downtown Busan, is a region where a stable floating population coexists with high tourist demand. Major tourist attractions, including BIFF Square, Jagalchi Market, and Gukje Market, are concentrated nearby, ensuring a constant influx of both Korean and international visitors.

A Lotte GRS official commented, "Based on the stable operations and positive customer response confirmed at the Jamsil Lotte World Mall location, we have introduced the second branch at Aqua Mall in Lotte Department Store Gwangbok, the key commercial district of Busan. Going forward, we plan to secure new growth drivers by opening stores in various formats, such as department stores, shopping malls, and major city business districts."
