Baek Younghyun, the pre-candidate for Mayor of Pocheon from the People Power Party, visited Yeongjung Senior College on April 28 and expressed his commitment to "creating a city where seniors are happy."

원본보기 아이콘On site, Baek greeted the seniors, explained policies to address an aging society and plans to expand welfare for seniors, and listened to a variety of opinions.
Baek stated, "We will further strengthen welfare policies that seniors can truly feel."
To reinforce senior welfare policies in the ninth popularly elected administration, Baek proposed: ▲ creating public jobs for seniors by transforming neighborhood vacant lots into gardens through the Silver Gardener initiative; ▲ expanding hospital accompaniment and visiting health management services for seniors; ▲ expanding integrated medical and nursing care programs; ▲ expediting the completion of the Southern Senior Welfare Center; and ▲ increasing support for dementia treatment and management programs (conversion projects).
