Yeongam County in South Jeolla Province has been selected as an outstanding institution in the Jeollanam-do fiscal execution evaluation. The county announced that it was recognized as an outstanding institution in the Jeollanam-do fiscal execution evaluation for the second half of 2025, securing an institutional commendation and a business incentive budget of 30 million won.
This evaluation was conducted for 22 cities and counties within the province to boost the local economy through prompt fiscal execution. It comprehensively reflected second-half execution performance, consumption and investment execution rates, and fiscal management efficiency.
The county executed 811.6 billion won, which is 83.54% of its target amount of 971.4 billion won, and was highly rated for contributing to the stabilization of livelihoods and revitalization of the local economy.
Shin Hwanjong, Head of Planning and Budget at Yeongam County, stated, "We focused on early execution of social overhead capital investments and livelihood-related budgets to recover the depressed local economy," adding, "We will continue to provide tangible support to the local economy through systematic budget management and proactive fiscal execution."
Meanwhile, Yeongam plans to establish a stable foundation for the local economy through continued fiscal management and enhanced efficiency.
