This event was attended by employees and executives from five public institutions in Wonju Innovation City, including the Veterans Service, which organized the sponsorship and volunteer activities, as well as the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service, Korea Tourism Organization, Korea Mine Rehabilitation and Mineral Resources Corporation, and Korea Road Traffic Authority.

On this day, the five public institutions, including the Veterans Service, jointly delivered KRW 7 million in sponsorship funds to the Hanji Culture Festival Committee to support the successful hosting of the 28th Wonju Hanji Culture Festival, which is set to open on May 1. Participating employees then assisted in preparing for the event by personally installing Hanji lanterns to be used in the festival's main attraction, the "Stairway of Paper and Light."

Since signing the "Working Agreement for the Revitalization of Traditional Hanji in Wonju" in 2021, the Veterans Service has continued its sponsorship and volunteer activities for five consecutive years, cooperating annually with public institutions in Wonju Innovation City to protect valuable cultural heritage and foster coexistence within the local community.

Yoon Jongjin, Chairman of the Veterans Service, stated, "This year is especially meaningful as traditional Korean Hanji is undergoing the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage inscription review. I hope that our activities, however small, will help preserve and promote our unique cultural heritage. The Veterans Service will continue to take the lead in fulfilling its social responsibilities as a public institution through close communication with the local community."
