'ISO 45001' is a global standard in the field of occupational health and safety established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is an international certification aimed at preventing industrial accidents in the workplace and establishing a safe and pleasant working environment. This certification is granted through a comprehensive evaluation of an organization's occupational health and safety risk management system, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and ongoing improvement activities.

During the certification process, Gwangju Bank successfully passed the detailed assessment items required by both the 'ISO 45001' and the 'KS Q ISO 45001' standards at a high level. The bank was highly evaluated for having established and operated a systematic occupational health and safety management system across the entire organization.

To date, Gwangju Bank has made various efforts to identify in advance and systematically manage accidents and risk factors that could affect customers and employees in the workplace. In particular, the bank has continuously implemented all stages of the process, including regular occupational health and safety training for employees, workplace safety inspections, risk assessments, improvement measures, and post-management, in order to foster a culture of occupational health and safety.

Through obtaining this certification, Gwangju Bank has secured objective credibility in its occupational health and safety management system and has further strengthened the foundation for creating a safe and reassuring working and service environment for both employees and customers as a financial institution.

Jeong Il-seon, President of Gwangju Bank, stated, "Occupational health and safety management is one of the core management priorities that our bank pursues. With this international standard certification, we will continue to place the highest value on the safety of our employees and customers, and further strengthen our ESG management through ongoing improvement and practical action."
