Shipbuilding equipment manufacturer KSP is expected to benefit significantly from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' expansion of its medium-speed engine business. On April 28, the company announced that it is already supplying three types of core components for the H54DF engine, which is similar to the H54GV engine that HD Hyundai Heavy Industries plans to deliver to data centers in the United States.

Currently, KSP supplies valve spindles, connecting rods, and camshafts for the H54DF engine. The company explained that the same series of components is highly likely to be used in the '16H54GV' engine, which will be deployed in U.S. AI data centers in the future. These parts are essential for power generation and energy conversion, and are considered core elements that must maintain stable performance even under extreme conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, and high-speed rotation.

As HD Hyundai Heavy Industries expands the application of its medium-speed engines from the traditional shipping sector to power infrastructure for AI data centers, demand for related components is also expected to increase. In particular, since some parts are consumables that require repeated supply based on engine operation volume, there is significant potential for revenue growth.

KSP has built a diverse portfolio of ship engine components over the years. The company has demonstrated its technological capabilities and mass production capacity by supplying products such as complete exhaust valves to major global engine manufacturers, including HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, for an extended period.

The company stated, "We have secured strong technological competitiveness based on our accumulated supply experience with domestic and overseas engine designers and manufacturers," and added, "With the shipbuilding boom and the recent rise in demand for engines for AI data center power, there is a high possibility of securing additional orders."

The company further commented, "The engine components we supply must meet high quality standards and require large-scale facility investments, such as mold production." They continued, "Based on our experience supplying similar engine components to HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, we plan to expand our performance in the AI data center sector."
