The K-Export Star 500 program is an initiative by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy that aims to foster 500 leading export companies over the next five years. It selects promising firms with global competitiveness and supports them in expanding overseas and increasing exports.

AhnLab explained that it was recognized for its export competitiveness and growth potential based on the growth of its overseas operations in key countries such as Saudi Arabia, China, Taiwan, and Japan, as well as its global market expansion strategy and operational capabilities tailored to local markets.

AhnLab’s diverse product lineup-including the SaaS-based security threat analysis platform "AhnLab XDR," next-generation threat intelligence platform "AhnLab TIP," dedicated endpoint security solution for operational technology (OT) "AhnLab EPS," next-generation network security solution "AhnLab XTG," and dedicated DDoS mitigation solution "AhnLab DPX"-can flexibly respond to varying IT environments and security requirements in different countries.

AhnLab plans to utilize the resources secured through this program for global marketing, obtaining certifications and patents, technology consulting, and overseas sales operations. Going forward, the company intends to expand its overseas business, focusing on strategic markets such as Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, as well as China and Japan.

Lee Sang-kook, Head of Marketing & Global Business at AhnLab, said, "Building on last year’s achievements, we will gradually expand our overseas bases and further enhance product competitiveness and local support systems to establish a stable operational foundation optimized for each regional environment."
