76 Facilities to Undergo Intensive Inspection Over 61 Days From April 20 to June 19

Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province has reviewed departmental inspection plans and strengthened its response system ahead of the full-scale Intensive Safety Inspection.


The city announced that it held the "2026 Intensive Safety Inspection Countermeasures Meeting" on April 27, where participants discussed facilities subject to inspection, the roles of each department, and collaboration measures.

At the meeting, senior officials including division and bureau heads attended to share preliminary safety inspection plans for major and vulnerable facilities, and focused on reviewing measures to enhance the effectiveness of the inspections.


The Intensive Safety Inspection will be carried out nationwide for 61 days, from April 20 to June 19, and Sacheon City plans to inspect a total of 76 facilities.


In particular, the city aims to proactively identify and improve risk factors, especially in multi-use facilities, aging buildings, facilities related to children and the elderly, and disaster-prone facilities, with the goal of preventing safety accidents.


A city official stated, "We will conduct thorough preliminary inspections of facilities directly related to citizen safety to proactively eliminate risk factors," adding, "We will strengthen interdepartmental collaboration to ensure that effective safety inspections are carried out."
