Hapcheon County in South Gyeongsang Province will introduce nighttime tourism content throughout May to promote extended-stay tourism.
On April 28, the county announced that from May 2 to May 30, it will host the "Time Slip Night" nighttime busking performances every Saturday at the lawn square of the Blue House set.
The event will be held for 60 minutes from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in conjunction with the nighttime opening of the Hapcheon Video Theme Park. This initiative is part of the Youth 365 Hot Place Creation Project.
"Time Slip Night" is a performance program focused on young artists. The event includes a 20-minute acoustic performance, a 20-minute emotional busking session, and a 20-minute bubble show, offering visitors a unique nighttime cultural experience.
In particular, the event is expected to create a distinctive nighttime atmosphere by combining a media facade projected onto the roof of the Blue House set building with music.
Additionally, the video theme park will open at night on Fridays and Saturdays in May. Visitors can enjoy various nighttime landscapes and media facades within the park, as well as performances at the set, providing a richer array of attractions.
Hapcheon County expects this program to increase the length of visitor stays and have a positive impact on the revitalization of local businesses.
Cho Hongnam, head of the Tourism Promotion Division, stated, "This event is a stay-type tourism content linked to nighttime opening, providing performance opportunities for young artists and diverse cultural experiences for tourists. We will continue to discover and operate nighttime content that highlights the unique characteristics of the region."
