This event, held under the main slogans “I’m Satisfied with Taiwan” and “Brilliant Taiwan, 24-Hour Total Satisfaction,” not only provided a wealth of tourism information spanning from day to night in Taiwan, but also specifically targeted the summer vacation season by inviting Korean travelers to experience the most authentic Taiwanese atmosphere.

The roadshow, which took place for two days starting April 25 in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, offered a variety of programs allowing visitors to experience the unique atmosphere of Taiwan firsthand.

On site, there was a photo wall themed around shopping, as well as a “Find My Taiwan 100 Ways” game zone inspired by night market games, enabling visitors to discover their own travel styles, such as gourmet food and trekking. In addition, signature Taiwanese street foods like Yan Su Ji and Lu Wei were showcased, along with cooking classes for Dan Bing and Dou Jiang, and traditional dance performances representing indigenous cultures. More than 2,000 citizens participated in these activities.

On April 27, the Taiwan Tourism Administration hosted a Taiwan Tourism B2B briefing session at the Shilla Hotel Seoul. The event provided the latest tourism information to Korean travel industry professionals, and more than 200 business meetings between the two countries’ tourism sectors were held, resulting in a vibrant atmosphere of exchange.

Chiu Kao-wei, Representative of the Taipei Mission in Korea, attended the event to encourage the Taiwanese delegation. He stated, “Taiwan and Korea are not only geographically close, but also share many cultural similarities. As exchanges between the two sides become more active, tourism plays an important role as a bridge for mutual understanding and friendly relations.”

He added, “Taiwan will continue to pursue close cooperation in tourism, promoting smart and sustainable travel, and will expand exchanges by developing themed products that meet the needs of travelers.”

Jin Seok Lee, President of the Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA), who also attended the event, said, “Taiwan’s travel environment is full of vibrant energy, and travelers can enjoy a free and lively atmosphere both day and night, providing a high level of convenience and satisfaction.”

He continued, “We hope that through the cooperation and efforts of Taiwan and Korea’s industry professionals, Korean travelers will have enjoyable and meaningful experiences when visiting Taiwan.”

Jeong Yiping, Deputy Director of the International Division of the Taiwan Tourism Administration, expressed gratitude in her welcome speech for the years of exchange and effort by industry professionals from both sides. She emphasized, “For Koreans, Taiwan has grown beyond just a destination for gourmet food to encompass a deeper, more authentic ‘Taiwanese sensibility,’ and Taiwan is recognized not only for its cuisine and beautiful scenery, but also as one of the safest travel destinations in the world.”

This event, which combined hands-on experiences in Seongsu-dong-a hot spot among younger generations-with professional business exchanges, is considered to have played an effective role in establishing Taiwan as a friendly and enriching travel destination.
