The camp brought together 30 young researchers under the age of 39, including current and former master's and doctoral students from Keimyung University Graduate School. Leading local companies such as Daejoo Machinery Co., Ltd., Roman Co., Ltd., MegaGen Implant Co., Ltd., Samkwang Co., Ltd., Sambomotors Co., Ltd., Saeshin Precision Co., Ltd., Sewon E&I Co., Ltd., Sewon Junggong Co., Ltd., Ajin Industrial Co., Ltd., SSLM Co., Ltd., and Dentis Co., Ltd. participated, creating practical connections for industry-academia collaboration.

The program went beyond simple job support by incorporating 'Work-Life Balance' as a core value, offering an integrated career support approach that considered both sustainable career planning and quality of life for young researchers.

Company-specific job introductions, one-on-one in-depth mentoring, and networking programs among participants were held to deepen understanding of industrial sites and strengthen the foundation for connections between companies and young researchers.

During the event, Keimyung University Graduate School and the participating companies signed agreements to establish a cooperative system for nurturing resident high-level talent in the region.

The agreements included joint operation of company-tailored extracurricular programs, collaboration on field training and internship programs, and the promotion of joint events to activate networking between young researchers and companies.

Keimyung University noted that this program is meaningful as it implements a practical talent development model linked to regional industrial demand and establishes a foundation for young researchers to settle in the area.

Going forward, the university plans to expand the scope of industry-academia cooperation centered on the RISE project to establish a virtuous cycle in which local talent grows and settles in the region.

Nam Changwook, Dean of Keimyung University Graduate School, said, "This Work-Life Balance Career Camp was organized to help young researchers connect their research capabilities with the industrial field and design stable careers in the region. Based on this, we expect it will develop into a sustainable industry-academia collaboration model that contributes to both the local settlement of young researchers and the growth of companies."
