On this day, candidate Kim toured various parts of the Uijeongbu Station underground shopping mall, attentively listening to the challenges faced by merchants who are struggling due to the economic downturn and declining consumption. He also exchanged a range of ideas on revitalizing the local economy.

The merchants appealed that their sales have significantly decreased due to the ongoing economic recession, the expansion of online consumption, and a reduction in foot traffic, emphasizing the need for practical support measures. In particular, they requested the expansion of local currency, improvements in parking and transportation accessibility, and continuous administrative support to boost business districts.

In response, candidate Kim stressed, "The most important starting point for revitalizing Uijeongbu’s economy is protecting the livelihoods of local merchants, neighborhood business districts, and traditional markets," adding, "Policies for public livelihood that citizens can truly feel must be the top priority."

He further stated, "We need municipal administration that small business owners can relate to, not just for show," and pledged, "I will breathe new life into the local economy through practical policies such as expanding local currency, introducing a public delivery app, and strengthening support for small businesses."

Additionally, candidate Kim emphasized that the area around Uijeongbu Station must become not just a transportation hub, but the central axis driving the local economy. He also mentioned the need for urban regeneration strategies that connect foot traffic to consumption, as well as improvements in transportation infrastructure.

Candidate Kim said, "After completing the primary election, I wanted my first visit to be where the lives of citizens are. To transform Uijeongbu into a city that produces and creates, rather than just consumes, I will work together with citizens to find the answers."
