Gyeongsan City is ramping up efforts to boost agricultural productivity, stabilize livestock farm management, and prepare high-quality cultural performances for citizens ahead of the busy farming season and Family Month in May.
On the 27th, this year's first rice transplanting in Gyeongsan City was carried out at the farm of Shin Hocheol in Urok-ri, Jain-myeon (6 hectares).

The Gyeongsan Agricultural Technology Center has called for meticulous management during the rice transplanting period, which will continue until early June, to prevent issues such as delayed seed germination.
Director Park Juwon stated, "In Gyeongsan City, we support seedbed treatment agents and nursery soil to ensure stable rice production, and we also provide large-scale rice farming machinery and labor-saving equipment to help address the labor shortage in rural areas as the population ages."
In the livestock sector, the city will provide large-scale hay support to farms facing difficulties due to rising feed prices and currency fluctuations.

The first round of supply will begin from April 28 to 30 at the Korea Industrial Training Institute in Namsan-myeon, with a second round to be completed in the remaining areas during May.
Notably, since its launch in 2023, this project has boasted the largest supply volume among city and county administrations in the province and has received enthusiastic support from local livestock farmers.
Cultural news that will delight the eyes and ears of citizens continues as well.
