Chilgok County Holds Launch Ceremony for 'Youth Policy Participation Group'

Chilgok County in North Gyeongsang Province held the '2026 Chilgok County Youth Policy Participation Group Launch Ceremony' at the Youth Center on April 24.

The 'Youth Policy Participation Group' consists of 20 young people who either reside in Chilgok County or are affiliated with local schools and companies.

The group aims to enhance the effectiveness of local youth policies through activities such as identifying youth-related issues and gathering opinions, proposing policy ideas, and establishing networks among young people.

The launch ceremony began with the presentation of appointment certificates to the group members, followed by a session to share the direction of youth policies. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants also took part in an exchange program to get to know each other and share their views.

Han Younghee, Acting Governor of Chilgok County, stated, "The Youth Policy Participation Group will play an important role in connecting the voices of local youth to policy," adding, "We will actively incorporate the diverse opinions of young people."

With the establishment of the Youth Policy Participation Group, the diversity and effectiveness of youth policies in the region are expected to improve.
