The Baekhak Lake floating bridge is being promoted in connection with the 'Baekhak Lake Healing Shelter Development Project,' which began construction in 2022. The project aims to create rest areas for residents and tourists around Baekhak Lake and to establish the floating bridge as a waterfront landmark, developing the area into a base for stay-type tourism.

The floating bridge, measuring 132 meters in length and 4.5 meters in width, is connected from Ami Cultural Plaza to the center of Baekhak Lake, offering an open waterfront viewing space in the shape of a 'ㅁ' (square). In particular, a statue of Sergeant Reckless, the heroic horse who served in the Nevada Outpost Battle in Yeoncheon during the Korean War, will be installed at the center of the bridge, providing both historical significance and a unique attraction.

The county has decided to temporarily open the facilities to allow visitors to experience them in advance during the 33rd Yeoncheon Paleolithic Festival, which will be held on Saturday, May 2. This inspection focused on ensuring the structural stability of the bridge and the installation status of safety railings and other facilities, making thorough preparations to guarantee safety before the temporary opening.
