Gwangmyeong Youth Foundation Appoints Hyunggi Kim as Director of Gwangmyeong Youth Center

The Gwangmyeong Youth Foundation in Gyeonggi Province has appointed Hyunggi Kim as the new Director of the Gwangmyeong Youth Center.

On the morning of April 28, Heemin Choi, Acting Chairperson of the Gwangmyeong Youth Foundation (Deputy Mayor of Gwangmyeong), presented the letter of appointment to newly appointed Director Hyunggi Kim during a ceremony held in the Deputy Mayor's office at Gwangmyeong City Hall.

Director Kim has accumulated extensive on-site experience in youth activities and welfare, having previously served as Director of the Sangnok Youth Center under the Ansan Youth Foundation and as Director of the Chungju Youth Training Center. He is recognized as an expert with strengths in managing youth training facilities and overseeing the planning and administration of various programs.

In recognition of his contributions, he has received several awards, including a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety, a commendation from the Chairperson of the National Assembly's Gender Equality and Family Committee, and a commendation from the Governor of North Chungcheong Province (for nurturing future talent), all of which have demonstrated his outstanding leadership and professional competency.

Director Kim expressed his vision, stating, "I will create a youth center where young people can take the lead in policy and activities. I am committed to expanding digital capabilities and career exploration opportunities in response to the rapidly changing times, and to doing my utmost to build a growth platform in collaboration with the local community."

Acting Chairperson Choi remarked, "With an expert who possesses both hands-on experience and policy insight now appointed, I expect the public value and professionalism of the Gwangmyeong Youth Center to be further enhanced. I ask that you play a significant role in creating an environment where young people can grow proactively and in building an open youth center in partnership with the local community."
