Participants will work for approximately five months, from July 6 to December 4, at various locations across the city, including city hall, public health centers, and local administrative welfare centers.
The wage will be based on the 2026 minimum hourly wage of 10,320 won. Depending on the working hours, those working eight hours per day (full-time) will receive an average monthly salary of about 2.28 million won, those working six hours will receive about 1.73 million won, those working five hours will receive about 1.47 million won, and those working three hours will receive about 930,000 won (all amounts are before deductions for the four major social insurances). In addition, a daily transportation and snack allowance of 5,000 won will be provided for actual working days, and weekly holiday and annual leave allowances will also be granted.
The project consists of a total of 62 sub-projects: 55 public work projects and 7 community job projects.
Public work includes responsibilities such as guiding civil service visitors at administrative welfare centers, maintaining cleanliness in government buildings, assisting in the city hall cafeteria kitchen, managing traditional markets and public parking lots, and organizing library shelves and disinfecting books.
The community job projects involve tasks such as serving as a guardian for the resident-shared space "Ma-eum, Shwim-pyo," managing public sports facilities, supporting the operation of the Disabled Health Center, maintaining the environment of cultural heritage sites like Hanam Cultural Center and Iseong Fortress, and supporting the operation of the Hanam Family Center.
As each project has its own qualification requirements, applicants must confirm their eligibility in advance. Administrative and counseling roles require proficiency in computer programs such as Excel and Hangeul, as well as smartphone skills, while positions managing public sports facilities or cultural heritage environments require physical fitness for outdoor work. In particular, some community job projects, such as managing resident-shared spaces or maintaining welfare centers, may give priority to applicants in their 40s to 60s.
Applicants must be unemployed Hanam residents aged 18 to 64 as of the announcement date, April 22, with a household income at or below 70% of the median income (or 60% or below for community job projects) and assets of 400 million won or less. However, recipients of unemployment benefits, family members (spouses and children) of public officials, and students currently enrolled in universities or graduate schools will not be eligible to participate.
Those wishing to participate must bring their ID and apply in person at either their local administrative welfare center or the Hanam Job Center (located to the right of the main conference room in the Hanam City Hall main building / on the 3rd floor of the Employment Welfare Plus Center) during the recruitment period.
Applicants may visit either their local administrative welfare center or the Hanam Job Center to apply in person during the recruitment period. The Hanam Job Center accepts applications at two locations: the window to the right of the main conference room in Hanam City Hall main building (10 Daecheong-ro) and the 3rd floor of the Hanam Employment Welfare Plus Center (52 Misagangbyeon-daero).
When applying, applicants must submit a consent form for the collection and use of personal information, including the signatures of themselves and their family members as listed on their resident registration.
The final selection results will be notified individually by text message after 5 p.m. on June 26. For more information, applicants can check the "2026 Second Half Public Work Project Participant Recruitment Announcement" and the "2026 Second Half Community Job Project Participant Recruitment Announcement" on the announcement board of the Hanam City Hall website, or contact the Department of Local Economy at Hanam City Hall.
