Hanyang University Holds Olympic Gymnasium 40th Anniversary Memory Contest

Hanyang University announced on April 29 that it will hold a special contest to collect memories from university members and citizens in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Olympic Gymnasium.

This contest, held under the theme "Searching for 40 Years of Hanyang University Olympic Gymnasium History: Looking for My Special Connection with the Olympic Gymnasium," has been organized to record the Olympic Gymnasium, which has served as a symbolic space for both the university and the local community over the past 40 years.

It is an open event in which anyone can participate, including current students, alumni, parents, and general citizens. The contest accepts submissions in categories such as photography, video, and written essays, and participants are invited to submit works that capture their memories or meaningful experiences related to the Olympic Gymnasium.

Entries have been accepted since April 23 and the deadline is May 3. Those interested in participating can submit their works by email.

Outstanding participants and event winners will receive prizes such as VIP tickets to home volleyball and basketball games in the University League (U-League), invitations to dance and theater performances, official Hanyang University souvenirs, and campus coffee coupons.

A representative from Hanyang University stated, "The Olympic Gymnasium has been a space filled with countless games and performances, including the '86 Asian Games and the '88 Olympics, as well as the passion of our students over the past 40 years. We hope that through this contest, individual memories will be woven into the university’s history."
