"Toward a Festival Where Residents and Tourists Come Together"

Namhae County has confirmed that the 14th German Village Beer Festival will be held over three days from October 9 to 11, 2026, and has officially begun preparations for the successful operation of the festival.

The county announced that on April 27, it held a meeting of the Beer Festival Planning Team to focus on discussions about the festival schedule, major content, and improvement measures for transportation and parking.

At the meeting, the festival dates were finalized, and opinions were raised about the need to design programs that both tourists and local residents can enjoy together. In particular, consensus was reached on the importance of expanding resident participation to develop the festival into an event that coexists with the local community.

Regarding the main programs, there was a suggestion to strengthen hands-on elements in the festival's signature parade, allowing tourists to participate directly. The county plans to continue discovering a variety of programs to further boost on-site engagement.

Improving transportation convenience was also discussed as a key issue. Suggestions were made to expand the shuttle bus routes and diversify pick-up and drop-off points to enhance accessibility for visitors.

For the parking issues that have been repeatedly pointed out every year, there was agreement on the need for both short-term operational improvements and mid- to long-term expansion of parking infrastructure. Accordingly, the county plans to continuously review systematic parking lot development measures, including securing new land in the future.

Kim Miseon, Director of the Tourism and Economy Bureau, stated, "We will develop the festival into a participatory event where local residents and tourists come together," adding, "We will gradually improve infrastructure such as transportation and parking to create a more pleasant festival environment."
