Hana Securities announced on April 28 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Arboretum under the Korea Forest Service for the "Conservation of Forest Biodiversity and Restoration of Forest Ecosystems."

원본보기 아이콘This agreement was promoted as part of ESG management to address the climate crisis and achieve carbon neutrality. Under the agreement, the two institutions will cooperate on: ▲ research on forest organisms and habitat conservation; ▲ restoration and release of rare species, as well as other initiatives for biodiversity conservation; ▲ raising public awareness on carbon neutrality practices and biodiversity conservation; and ▲ sharing information, promoting, and establishing networks for climate change response.
Kang Sungmook, CEO of Hana Securities, stated, "Through this agreement, we have laid the groundwork to make a tangible contribution to the global environmental issue of biodiversity conservation. Moving forward, we will continue to strive to create sustainable social value based on ESG management." Lim Youngseok, Director of the National Arboretum, added, "We expect that collaboration with a private financial institution will further expand biodiversity conservation activities. We aim to create a sustainable environmental conservation model in which the public and private sectors work together."
